What Is Aina?
Aina is an AI ring from Aina Computers, founded by Apoorv Shankar, previously VP of Hardware at Ultrahuman. It learns from your apps, calendar and location and shows the three actions it thinks you will want next on a small screen. Flick your thumb up to approve, down to reject, or hold the centre to talk to your AI agents. Its modes cover voice, proactive shortcuts like booking your usual Uber or sending a "running late" message, and remote controls for music, meetings and TV.
Aina says it supports iOS and Mac at launch, with more integrations later. Launch coverage was positive about the idea, though Unite.AI noted its predictions are "launch claims, rather than results from independent testing." Our full roundup is What Is Aina?
What Is the Vocci Ring?
The Vocci Ring is a titanium AI note-taking ring from Gyges Labs. Double-click its button and it records for up to 8 hours, offline if needed, with pickup up to 5 meters. Vocci then gives you a transcript, summary and action items, which you can send to Notion, Slack, WhatsApp or Google Docs, or bring into ChatGPT and Claude through its MCP server. Long-press to ask Vocci's AI what was decided.
Vocci quotes IP67 water resistance, 100+ languages and US sizes 6 to 15, and says data is end-to-end encrypted and never used to train AI. For more, see Vocci Ring vs Sandbar Stream.
How Much Do They Cost?
Aina: pre-orders opened on 5 November 2026 at a Super Early Bird price of $399 for limited units, and Notebookcheck reports it will rise to $499 after the introductory offer. Aina has not published a subscription.
Vocci Ring: $249, down from $299, with free shipping and a charging case. The free Starter plan includes 300 transcription minutes. Plus is $9.99 a month billed yearly ($119.99) and Pro is $19.99 a month billed yearly ($239.99) for unlimited minutes.
Acting vs Recording
Aina is built for moments where you need to decide something fast: approve a ride, mute a call, answer a message. It is not designed to capture the conversation itself. Vocci is the opposite. It is built to keep a record of what was said, so you can search it, summarize it and hand it to an AI later.
The other big differences are timing and platforms. You can buy Vocci today and use it with Android. Aina ships in January 2027 and starts on iPhone and Mac only.
Which Should You Choose?
Pre-order Aina if you live on an iPhone and a Mac, use AI agents, and want a ring that surfaces and completes small tasks without pulling out your phone.
Choose the Vocci Ring if you want to record meetings from your finger now, need Android support, or want your conversations available in ChatGPT, Claude or Notion.

Where Legend Fits
Aina acts when you approve, and Vocci records when you double-click. Legend One is built for the conversations you would not think to start recording. It is a voice-first AI memory pendant made for people with ADHD, worn at chest height and on all day, with a Halo light when it is active. It is not a medical device and does not treat ADHD. Legend turns your conversations into text, with no audio to play back and none kept in your account, and gives you daily summaries and auto-generated to-dos in the Legend App. Legend still captures audio to create the transcript, so recording and consent laws may apply where you live. It is $499 USD including the first year of membership, with free worldwide shipping. Orders ship within 30 days, then arrive in about 14 business days. See how it works.
The Takeaway
Aina is a $399 pre-order AI ring with a screen that suggests and completes your next actions, shipping in January 2027 for iPhone and Mac. The Vocci Ring is a $249 titanium ring you can buy today that records up to 8 hours of meetings and sends them to your AI tools. Pick Aina to act, Vocci to remember.
